Sixty-four players have signed up for the Tiger Tanks Trinidad Unlimited Islandwide Invitational Snooker tournament which kicked off at the Petrotrin Sport Club last week weekend.

The tournament will run until July 27, with the winner of the tournament receiving the first place prize of $7,000, the runner-up receiving $5,000 and the losing semi-finalist receiving $2,500 each. there will also be a special prize of $1000 for the highest break.

The tournament will be played from a two frame aggregate tournament. The scores for the first frame are carried over to the second frame, for example, in the frame, Player A wins 60-40 over player B, the second starts at 60-40 frame and continues to a normal finish. The first frame ends with the putting of the final (black ball). The player putting the final black ball in the first frame must cue-off the second frame.

Points conceded at the game’s end do not constitute a break. A player shall be penalised seven points if in the referee’s opinion an “Unreasonable Attempt” was made to come out of a “Snooker Position”. All rules are accordance to worldwide Snooker rules.
