GML’s radio broadcast team Grand Slam Sports will be producing the live radio commentary across the region utilising leading Caribbean broadcast talents. Cricket fans will be able to tune in to watch their local heroes, such as Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, Sunil Narine, Darren Sammy, Marlon Samuels and Kieron Pollard, as well as global stars including Kevin Pietersen, Saeed Ajmal and Corey Anderson. Jamie Stewart, Commercial Director LCPL, said: “We’re delighted to be working with Guardian Media Ltd to deliver LCPL excitement to fans across the Caribbean. As well as ensuring the widest possible access via free-to-air television, GML will be producing the live radio broadcast across all matches so, whether in the car or on the beach, fans needn’t miss a single ball.
“We will also be working together to utilize GML’s marketing experience and expertise to create anticipation and buzz across the region to build even further on the CPL phenomenon that fans experienced last year.”
GML Managing Director Lisa Agard, said she was pleased to be associated with the LCPL and believed this is a partnership that can only grow. “We’re looking forward to taking the Biggest Party in Sport to homes across the Caribbean.” The CPL, which thrilled sell-out crowds across the Caribbean last year, is once again looking to excite fans with high intensity T20 cricket with an even bigger and better tournament this year. Grenada, known for its vibrant culture and hospitality, will serve as the opening venue to showcase the region’s most exciting domestic T20 tournament.
