Toll now 188

This chart from open data source bulletpoints.org.tt shows the murder toll by month from January 2013 to May 31. Compared to 2013, no significant decrease in the monthly tolls has been recorded.
The murder of Shakam De Revenaux has taken the murder toll to 188 for the year.
The 19-year-old, who lived in Stephenville, Mapp Lands, Laventille, was found dead in a drain along the Lady Young Road, Morvant around 7 pm on June 2, after a tip-off was given to the police.
His body was wrapped in bed sheets, with his head covered by a plastic bag. He was a former student of South East Port-of-Spain secondary school. The teenager was the country's fifth murder victim in the space of 48 hours.
Police are continuing investigations.
