I was brought in by ambulance from Arima on Boxing Day 2017 and I received super treatment from nurses at the front desk of the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope, even though one of them was being insulted by a visitor.
She attended to me and sent me to the doctors who thoroughly explained to me what they were about to do—blood tests etc.
Since I am scared of needles, every time they came for blood samples they were patient with me. Next day, heading to get a scan on a wheelchair along the corridor, I spotted my doctor and two others.
One of the gentlemen who had an Indian accent started to ask questions about my health while checking my vitals; all he was concerned about was my health and he even wanted to accompany us to get the scan.
The nurses on the other hand were like family. “Are you OK? We reach, you eat? How are you feeling?” they often inquired.
Even through insults, they kept calm and continued to work.
To the people at the Thoracic wing, both doctors and nurses, keep your chins up.
I’m feeling much better. Thank you for the beautiful experience.
